self portraits.

always one of those things where I am like, are you sure? But tonight, I felt like a challenge. I felt like experimenting with light. and I felt like showing myself. Self portraits are actually really great. You know how you want the picture to look. You know exactly how you want the camera to be angled. So really self portraits let you control the ENTIRE picture.

STILL LIVES

In my photography class we have been working on still lives.

I have really enjoyed this, and have only grazed the top of my still life creativity! So get ready for lots and lots and lots of still lives!

The ones of the camera were taken in a studio.

The ones of the lamp, is a whole nother story!

I was at my grandparents, sleeping over and I was exhausted! When I laid down to go to sleep, I looked across the room and saw this BEAUTIFUL lamp on this dresser, and I lept out of bed to take pictures of it =] I LOVE how they turned out

So I challenge all of you =] get out your cameras and find some fun objects, and

GO CRAZY!!!!!!!

I just bought this new lens!

Ladies and Gents,

The Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G!!!

cost: 195$

lowest appeture: 1.8

focal length:35 mm

great for: portraits, macro/nature, shallow focus

I absolutely love it!

It has a 1.8 appeture, which is great for portraits. The auto focus is awesome =] and it is very light weight.

The shallow focus is so lovely =] This is definitely on my camera 95% of the time, since it pretty much does EVERYTHING!

Over all I think I'd give this lens a 9/10

I would say, if you have 200$ to spare, you should DEFINITELY buy this lens =]

hello everyone!

right now, I am sitting in my bed, thankful for thanksgiving! I really need the break right now, and it has come at the perfect time! So hopefully, I will finally be able to post all of the things I've been wanting to show you then!
